22nd European Congress on Digital Pathology 2026 | ECDP2026

Dear colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to the Week of Digital and Computational Pathology, taking place from 15–20 June 2026 in Graz, Austria.

For the first time, a Summer School will be offered from 15–16 June 2026. This new format will provide participants with hands-on experience in digital pathology. The target audience includes pathologists as well as IT experts. Within a structured training program, participants will learn the fundamentals of pathology and AI development and will have the opportunity to develop their own algorithms.

The 22nd European Congress on Digital Pathology (ECDP 2026) will be held from 17–20 June 2026. Continuing ESDIP’s tradition of fostering a dynamic and interdisciplinary community, ECDP 2026 will bring together experts from pathology, computer science, molecular biology, clinical medicine, and industry.
This week will serve as a platform for scientific exchange, hands-on experiences, and strategic discussions in the fast evolving field of digital and computational pathology.

The 2026 edition of ECDP will focus on the real-world integration of digital pathology into routine diagnostics, emphasizing the convergence of whole slide imaging, AI-driven tools, and molecular profiling within clinical workflows. Special emphasis will be placed on standardized data infrastructures and the seamless integration of digital tools into everyday clinical practice.

Given the rapid growth of the field, we are pleased to offer up to three parallel sessions for the first time in ECDP history. On Wednesday, the congress will begin with Special Sessions and laboratory visits.
In addition, we will offer dedicated sessions for laboratory technicians, including site visits on 17 June 2026 and specialized scientific sessions on 18 June 2026.

Graz, a city where tradition meets innovation, provides an ideal setting for this gathering. With its strong academic legacy, research excellence, and vibrant life sciences community, Graz offers a stimulating environment for professional exchange and a welcoming atmosphere for personal connections. The city is also renowned for its lively medieval center. If you are not familiar with Graz, this video offers a brief impression of the city.

ESDIP remains committed to advancing education, innovation, and collaboration in digital pathology. ECDP 2026 will reflect this mission through carefully curated sessions, interactive formats, and broad international participation.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to Graz in June 2026.

Warm regards,
On behalf of the ECDP 2026 Organizing Committee,
